Why is Experimenting on Animals are bad?

Experimenting on animals is very time consuming and takes more money than making actual vaccines,But it has come to my attention that many animals that are tested on have a more complicated mind set in terms of Genetics, blood types, and intelligence.

Many scientists claim to have made a diagnosis to cure something because it had worked on an animal, but when ‘tested’ or used on a human being it results in making your condition more fatal.

Where angels fear to tread – Writing

Task 3:

Where angels fear to tread

This task is about reading to find information and make inferences.

Read ‘Where angels fear to tread‘, then answer the following questions.

a)

How old is Ngorongoro Crater?

Two Million years old.

b)

What word does the writer use in the middle of the story to indicate that he wasn’t scared of buffalo?

It identified as a ‘Harmless as a flock of New Zealand sheep’

c) What would have been a useful item to take on the walk to the lodge?

Best item to be at use is a torch, in the story it points out how dark it is in the night and how dangerous animals can get.

d) Explain how the saying in the final line, “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread”, goes with the story.

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” refers to a person who behaves impulsively; they don’t think before reacting. The saying goes with the story because a group of people, Halina and the speaker travel to Africa before knowing very little about it e.g. dangers, animals, people.

The saying “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” unspokenly refers to a person who does not plan ahead nor think things through. The saying goes with the story because it relates to the ‘reckless’ visitors that visited Africa, they were very dominant more than being cautious of the buffalos. The Antagonist recklessly waved her arms to the ‘Harmless’ buffalo just to come to realisation it was one of Africa’s most dangerous animals.

e) What two lessons could be gained from this story?

       i. That thinking ahead isn’t a way of showing off.

       ii. To think twice.

Language is important for a Culture to maintain – Writing

Topic: Language is important for a Culture to maintain.

Dear Whittakers,

I was surprised to know you had used New Zealand’s 1st official language in the title of your ‘Creamy Milk’ Chocolate bars, and I’d like to acknowledge you for that as not many Companies are brave enough to step up!

But I do imagine you continuing this as ‘Language is important for a culture to maintain’, a reason why is because Language Influences the personal identity of those living within the culture, Meaning it’s what and how People can bring their Language to different places around the world.

One other reason why you used Te Reo Maori is good, is because it helps us Maori communicate better with you! We can acknowledge it between out Katiaki’s and hopefully it inspires other companies!

But now I just want to Thank you for completing that gesture

Nga mihi.
